Wellington Chartered Accountant Euan Playle has accepted an invitation to join the Research For Life board. We are delighted to welcome him to the organisation.
Euan retired as a partner in BDO Chartered Accountants after a long career in public practice. He believes that his skills and experience in accounting, finance and governance will allow him to competently contribute to the board and management of Research For Life.
As well as business advisory expertise, Euan has experience in corporate finance matters and has consulted to various organisations in establishing or reviewing their Governance structures and protocols. This experience overseeing governance, stewardship and professional competencies as well as strategic planning and business development skills will be an asset to the RFL board.
Euan is on several other boards as a director and as an independent trustee.
He joins existing board members Dr Lance Lawler, Gaeline Phipps, Professor Rebecca Grainger, Richard Simpson and Richard Laurenson. Emeritus Professor Brett Delahunt has recently retired from the board.
